Since 1872 firefighters with Forest Grove Fire and Rescue
have been serving the community of Forest Grove and the
surrounding rural communities of Dilley, Fernwood, Gales
Creek, Glenwood, Hillside, Kansas City, Roy, Thatcher,
Trolley Park, Verboort and Wilkesboro which make up the
Forest Grove Rural Fire Protection Dist.  Between the City
and Rural Fire district our response area is 85 square miles,
we also mutual aid with our neighboring Fire Departments.

In 2006, department personnel responded on 2493 calls.
These calls ranged from Fire and Medical calls to non
emergency public assists.  We Currently operate out of two
fire stations.  The Main station located in Downtown Forest
Grove was built in 1994 which replaced the old fire station
which was located just next door in what is now a parking
lot.  The station is staffed with admin personnel, and both
career and volunteer firefighters.  The second station which
was built in the late 70's is located in Gales Creek and is
operated by solely by volunteers.

If you think that you might be interested in joining our
organization and serving your community as a volunteer
firefighter, feel free to stop by and pick up an application.
