If a cardiac arrest happened to your loved one or a close friend,
would you know how to perform life-saving CPR, which can double
a victim’s chance of survival?

Surprisingly, the vast majority of Americans don't.

Did you know:

That sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in
adults.  Most of these arrests occur in people with underlying
heart disease.

CPR doubles a person's chance of survival from sudden
cardiac arrest.

75% of all cardiac arrests happen in people's homes.

The typical victim of cardiac arrest is a man in his early
60's and a woman in her late 60's.

Cardiac arrest occurs twice as frequently in men compared to women.

Once a month Forest Grove Fire & Rescue offers a free "friends and family"
CPR class.  This class teaches students both Adult and Child CPR.

"Trained to save committed to serve" are words we live by.  By offering
people a CPR class we are providing people with the knowledge and skills
that one day may be used to save a loved one or a complete stranger's life.

Upcoming Classes: March 14th from 10am to 12:30pm
                                April 25th from 10am to 12:30pm

Car Seat Clinics
Currently our Friends and Family CPR, Chimney Brush Rental Program, and our Car Seat Clinics are free of
charge.  It is our intent to offer these programs free of charge to the community.  As with all programs there is
always maintenance and upkeep involved.  If you have participated in any of our programs and are compelled to
make a donation to our volunteer firefighter association to help maintain these programs, your donation would
be greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the fire station during regular business hours Monday - Friday
8am to 5 pm.
